RIVER KIDs

River Kids is a jungle adventure in the natural setting of God’s beauty. In River Kids, children have fun learning about God and His will for their lives!  Our trained and approved teachers are eager to fill your children with the word of God and a desire for a personal relationship with Him.

When attending River Kids, it is recommended to arrive 10 minutes prior to the service time to check-in your child.

INFANTS - kindergarten

Children's ministry begins as young as 8 weeks old! This team is trained and dedicated with a passion for this age children.

At River of Praise, we believe that first impressions are important. That’s why we use the Orange Curriculum, First Look, to give preschool children a first impression of their loving heavenly Father. Through this teaching, we keep it simple and fun, repeating one basic truth about God all month long. It also helps children understand worship and introduces them to small group time.  Check out this video that explains the "First Look" curriculum.

We encourage children to talk to God any time at any place. Our interactive activities tackle all the senses which makes mastering the concepts a blast. From crazy, fun activities to crafts to large group Bible story and worship time to small group Bible time; it’s all part of the plan to help all the River Kids believe these three key things by the time he or she is five years old:

  • God made me.
  • God loves me.
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Elementary

For first - fifth grade, we utilize the 252 Basics curriculum. When you see the word “basics” in the title, well, you sort of think foundational, essential, right? That’s what 252 Basics does—through this teaching the ROP River Kids staff equips kids from kindergarten through fifth grade with basic truths. In fact, when a student transitions into middle school, we hope that child has experienced the three basic truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52

(light bulb moment—now you know what the 252 means):

  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
